Honey Mustard Dressing In 3 Minutes

In my household, we usually cook our vegetables because my husband doesn’t like salad. A bottle of store bought dressing will be left in the fridge for months and ended up in the garbage. In addition, I am skeptical of the long list of unnatural ingredients (such as corn syrup, hydrogenated fat, preservatives) in mass produced salad dressing.

So when I prepare a salad for myself, I prefer to make my own simple dressing. It is made by combining the following ingredients:

  • Oil

  • Something acidic

  • Something sweet

  • Salt/Pepper

You can be creative and make your own signature dressing. I usually use ingredients that are available in the kitchen and just whip up something in 3 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon Mustard

  • 2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 small glass jar

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients in a small jar and shake it well.

  2. Taste it. If it’s too sweet, add more lemon juice. If it’s too tart, add more honey. Done.

This dressing goes well with vegetables, chicken and salmon.
